Merry Christmas

  My dear friends,
I want to take this opportunity and wish you all a peaceful and joyful Christmas. This year has surely been full of surprises, laughter and loss. New lessons learnt and new people met. I have big goals for the upcoming New Year and want to wish everyone a good luck in your own ambitions. Whatever is in your mind I wish you achieve it!
For this holidays I am planning to spend more time with my gorgeous family, having fun and eating lots of pudding. Stay safe!

Before and Now

Photographers are people who capture stories and precious moments in one's life and if it wasn't for Aristotle and later Reiner Gemma Frisius we would still have cameras, but a lot later in history. But let's leave the history here...

To be a photographer nowdays is not a big deal as everyone owns a digital camera. Even your phone does a great job capturing great shots. What defines the photographer from a non photographer, in my opinion, is the love and emotions that connects the person behind the camera to the subject who have never met before.

Many people say that I won't survive in this industry as I don't even have a degree in photography. One can be taught how to use a camera, but no one can tell how to FEEL the moment, how to be One with the subject! There are so many things that I still have to find out about fine art side of photography and the business side of it too, but the desire of creating beautiful images that tell a story make everything achievable.

I hadn't seriously thought about having a wedding photographer for my big day and I regret it, big time! Underexposed, blinking eyes and cluttered photographs are the only evidence of my beautiful day. Of course, I am thankful to my friends and family for taking those photographs (at least something, right?), but only if I had a professional wedding photographer, perhaps things would have unravelled differently.

Now I am looking for more opportunities to show the brides and grooms of future how the wedding memories should look like. I want the bride to be happy when sharing the photos with the loved ones. Be it online, albums or large prints I want her to relive the day over and over again.

The Start!

Desire is stronger than fearI am finally being brave and doing my first and serious steps into photography journey. I know it is not going to be easy, but who says that good things come easily.
One thing that I see myself doing in future is photographing people. Ordinary or extraordinary, big or small, tall or short - we all are the same - BEAUTIFUL! And I want to capture that beauty and innocence that everyone carries in their eyes.

Telling a story through photography is a form of art. Few phenomena like Richard Avedon and Henri Cartier-Bresson have been inspiration to many. And I am not an exception. They have so much to give and teach us that I wish there was someone who held my hand and showed me where to start from.

I have been practising for a while now and mainly photographing my own children, but there are still a lot to learn and refine... I need more hours in a day to make it happen.

Wish me luck :-)
