Little Hallingbury Mill House Ceremony: Alan and Julie

25.02.2014

In October last year I met a fellow photographer who kindly agreed for me to second shoot a wedding with her. A wedding that she went into trouble of booking, meeting the B+G and signing the contract, Louise Murnane (http://www.louisemurnanephotography.com/) was very supportive and she still is a great person and a photographer.

I arrived to the Little Hallingbury Mill House expecting to meet the photographer first, instead, the first person I met was the groom. Without knowing Alan I started chatting until the Best Man, Alan's brother, introduced the groom and then himself too. Honestly, I felt embarrassed.

Alan and Julie had grown up children and grandchildren of their own from previous relationships.
Julie's eldest son had an important role of not just supporting his mother, but also giving her away. It was a sweet moment.

And her bridesmaids were her and Alan's daughters.

Alan and Julie didn't want to have a big wedding, so during their civil ceremony only the closest members of the family were present.

I feel privileged to have been part of their special day.

Continuing the Proposals Season

10/02/2014

I love this time of the winter especially, as the season of “got down on one knee” continues. Everyone tells us their special story of the new chapter of their lives. It is a once in a life time experience and everyone is trying to be unique. They are all so different and so similar at the same time. It is all about LOVE. Whether you hide or find the symbol of “I Will Love You Forever” (in case I sound complicated, I meant ring) - in the Chocolate box, during the trivia game or back in the place, where you dated for the first time, let it be romantic, sweet and memorable.

Again, the Valentine’s Day is only few day away, which means there will be new stories, which will lead to marriages, which will keep us wedding photographers in business! Three cheers for that :)

Eleven years in marriage, yet my Valentine still comes home with a surprise present without a fail.

And my respond to THIS normally is “I cooked your favourite dinner, Love” ;)

Please, go ahead and share your story with me - funny, romantic or unforgettable.  I would love to hear from you.

Happy Monday
