I celebrate

   Hey beautiful people, it has been a while since I have blogged. Hope you all are doing very well :)

   I have been meaning to share my recent birthday presents with you. Yes, recently I grew up for another year, became wiser (said with HOPE), balanced and refined in my skills (work in progress). Honestly, all I need is a little reason to bake away, especially when it's a birthday. So, while I celebrate my birthday with my family by baking lots of sweet goodies, my husband, knowing my eager desire to achieve and accomplish more, decided to purchase this for me.

   I opened the wrapper... my eyes shone, hands started to shake and a second later I started jumping with excitement. But then ... it was too light to be true. I opened the box and took the lens out. It read 28-135mm f 2.8. Still couldn't believe my eyes. Did he really buy it? In shock I tried to open the lens cap, but when the lid fell off and it was pretty clear...but, hey, I have a new coffee mug :)

   I have another special present from Emil's mum, which is for my very feminine side. Delicate and always in fashion pearls. White and cream coloured these little beauties are natural additions to my precious collection of accessories. These are the perfect finishing touch to any dress for any occasion. I think I shall wear them to the next wedding on my calendar.

Youngster

  
   One of my good friends saw me in the morning and called me youngster. I am only few years younger than her, but that made me feel a lot younger ;-) Today for the first time, on my birthday, I didn't stress or panic or even cry, because I am another year older than yesterday. I learnt to enjoy the day and embrace it as it comes. A year older or younger, who cares about the numbers? We are who we are, God's creations: blessed or depressed, perfectionists or optimists, fighters or pacifiers ;-)

Happy birthday to me :-) (FYI - According to my daughter I just turned 24). I couldn't be happier!

I will blog more in details about the beautiful day that I had today. I feel blessed!

A Night Out

   It was sorted, all planned and actually everything WAS going by plan. Children would spend the weekend with their grandmother giving myself some time to "breath"! Knowing that they will be thoroughly spoilt by grandma they could't wait to have their "freedom back". They were so looking forward to leaving the house, that they woke up earlier than usual and packed their bags too. Charming!

   We haven't had some adult time just Emil and myself for a very long time. So when he got home in the evening I was already head to toe elegantly dresses and ready for the evening out. He opened the car door for me and kissed me ever so gently, when I was fighting with the car seatbelt. I looked at him and smiled softly, I recognised the look, he meant I look amazing :) As planned we drove to our favourite restaurant in Cambridge. We parked and walked to the entrance flirting, hand in hand, just like first time ten years ago. Despite we had to wait to get a table for two, we had an amazing time. Gorgeous food, nibbling from each other's plate (he still hates it), some bubbly, giggles and silly jokes were the perfect ingredients for the perfect evening. On the way home we were singing along with the radio (no, no, don't panic, I wasn't singing aloud): Whitney Houston, Take That (yes, this is my favourite), Jennifer Rush, Queen...the list would go on, but we were home.
   We flirted the night away, just like "yesterday". Many things have changed in our lives, but not my love. I still love him with my innocent love. Love that gone through many tests, but never changed.

New Start

  Hi everyone,
  This one is a little late, but I still decided to post it.

Well, another Christmas gone in a blink of an eye and we have just started the new exciting book of this year. New year and we all are full of new expextations, high hopes, new starts. For some that will mainly be followed by recently received surprising gifts from their loved ones. Gifts that they will cherish most in years to come. It is also time for magic, love stories and most importantly the correct time for popping the big question.

When there is diamond involved there is Magic too. Any girl's heart trembles by just thinking about it.

Now this is my big question. If this holiday season you have proposed or been proposed to, pleasse get in touch and tell me your story. I love real LOVE stories. I am full of love and laughter.
